Andrés Sanjuan is a visual artist and photographer working between Amsterdam and Berlin, with projects spanning Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie (NL) and works across fine art, editorial, and commercial commissions, with clients including Adidas, Dior, UVU, Aston Martin, Hercules Universal, GQ France, and Cura Magazine.
Focusing on intimacy, endurance, and power, he photographs people in moments of physical or emotional intensity—whether on the track, on the rock face, or within underground communities. His approach is immersive and relational, built on proximity, trust, and a fascination with the beauty, risk, and volatility of shared space.
A passionate long-distance runner and climber, Sanjuan draws on physical discipline as both subject matter and method, integrating endurance and image-making into a single field of practice.
